Tim is responsible for the administration of business development and client account management activities across the agriculture and timberland platform for the Hancock Natural Resource Group and is a member of the Executive Committee. The Institutional Business Group is comprised of 23 associates focused on portfolio management, capital raising and product development. Prior to this role, Tim was the Managing Director of Business Development where he led the team responsible for new product development, capital raising and portfolio management for various client accounts. He joined the company in 1993 as an analyst with Hancock Timber where he conducted acquisition and disposition analyses for client portfolios. Before joining Hancock, Tim was a forest analyst with George Banzhaf & Company, a nationally recognized forestry consulting firm, where he was directly involved in timberland valuation, wood supply analysis and timber inventory. Tim holds a B.S. in Forestry from Michigan State University and an M.S. in Forest Management and Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is registered with John Hancock Distributors LLC and holds Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
