David is responsible for the management and execution of Hancock Timber Resource Group’s timberland acquisitions program throughout all regions. In this role, he is responsible for all facets of HTRG’s timberland acquisition strategy and process including identification, outreach, due diligence, investment analysis, negotiations, transaction management to closing and supporting property management implementation. Prior to his current position, David worked in forest operations, resource planning and acquisition functions over 1998 to 2003 for HTRG based in Olympia, Washington and Melbourne, Australia. Before joining HTRG in 2015 (and in 1998), David led acquisitions, asset management and forest operations activities for Rayonier Inc. over 2003 to 2014 and from 1990 to 1998. He received his B.S. degree in Forest Engineering from the University of Maine, and a M.S. in Forestry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
