Matt is responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies, evaluating acquisition and disposition opportunities and managing agricultural portfolios. Prior to joining HNRG in 2018, Matt served as Head of Agriculture Investing for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s GFICC arm where he was responsible for portfolio management, research and investment strategy in the grain, oilseed, tropical and livestock markets. Prior to that role, he was a commodity analyst and trader for Ronin Capital Management’s agricultural commodity and macroeconomic hedge funds and a senior strategy analyst for macroeconomics and commodities at Everest Capital. He earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an International MBA in financial markets and economics from Florida International University’s Chapman Graduate School of Business. Matt also earned a graduate certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from Tufts University.
