Nick Ping

Managing Director, Institutional Business Asia Pacific

Nick is responsible for Hancock Natural Resource Group’s institutional business development, client account management and relationship management functions throughout Asia Pacific. Nick previously served in the capacity of Vice President, Business Development and Resource Planning, Australasia. Prior to joining HNRG in 2008, Nick coordinated the resource planning functions for HVP Plantations, an HNRG managed entity, before joining Pöyry Management Consulting, where he consulted on a variety of projects throughout Asia Pacific, including forest appraisals, due diligence and strategic planning. Nick holds Bachelor of Forest Science (Hons) and Doctor of Philosophy (Forest Science) degrees from the University of Melbourne, and an MBA from Deakin University. Nick is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), and full member of the Institute of Foresters of Australia (MIFA) and the New Zealand Institute of Forestry (MNZIF). Nick is also member of the IFA’s Australian Forest Valuation Subcommittee, and the NZIF’s Valuation Working Party.
